SUSTAINABILITY AND CARBON REDUCTION

As an ISO 14001 accredited organisation MPB Structures has set a clear strategic direction for sustainability, establishing our priorities and immediate commitments, forming the basis of our Sustainability Strategy. We have successfully embedded these carbon reduction measures into our operations, demonstrating tangible progress towards our goal of Net Zero.

Eco-friendly Plant & Machinery
  • Modern fleet renewed every 5 years – includes Euro 6, electric
    & hybrid plant.
  • HVO fuel from ISCC/RTFO-certified suppliers only (waste-based, palm-oil-free if required).
  • Electric excavator trials completed.
  • Falsework & formwork maintained to maximise reuse; recycled when beyond use.
Sustainable Transport
  • 40+ electric cars & vans added to our fleet since 2024.
  • Plus Hybrid & HVO-fuelled transport for reduced emissions.
  • Telematics to optimise routes, reduce idle time.
  • Consolidated deliveries to minimise trips.
Low Carbon Materials
  • Carbon-negative aggregates from Low Carbon Materials (LCM).
  • Exploring carbon-neutral cement where specification allows.
  • Recycled aggregates for backfill & general use – reduces extraction emissions.
  • All materials responsibly sourced to recognised standards.
  • Low-carbon FSC timber is always used.
Operator Training & Monitoring
  • Fuel-efficient driving, eco-mode use, and advanced machine control.
  • Telematics data to improve performance and cut emissions.
  • Robust training and performance feedback loops.
