MPB Structures is pleased to announce that it has been officially recognised as the Delivery Winner at the 15th Balfour Beatty VINCI (BBV) Construction Family Leadership Event, held on 26 February 2026.

This prestigious accolade serves as a testament to the sustained excellence, collaborative spirit, and commitment to safety displayed by our teams across various sublots of the HS2 project. The award highlights MPB’s significant contributions to major infrastructure assets, including the Marston Box in Sublot 7, various essential structures in Sublot 4, and the delivery of the West Portal in Sublot 1.

The recognition from BBV and HS2 reflects MPB’s ability to deliver complex, “mega projects” while maintaining the highest standards of quality and adhering to strict delivery programmes. The judging criteria emphasised overall regional engagement and the ability of delivery partners to facilitate project objectives through open collaboration and professional contract resolution.

MPB Welcomes New Procurement Policy Note Prioritising Skills in Public Contracts

MPB Structures welcomes the recent announcement from the Cabinet Office regarding the new Procurement Policy Note (PPN). Effective from January 2027, the updated framework will double the minimum social value weighting to 20 per cent on government contracts valued at £5 million or more. Most notably, the policy refines social value outcomes to two core criteria: ‘good jobs’ and ‘skills’. This structural change means that apprenticeships, training, and work placements will effectively count for double in the bidding process.
