MPB Structures Proudly Sponsors North West PROPS Awards 2025 in Support of Variety, the Children’s Charity

MPB Structures is delighted to announce its continued support for Variety, the Children’s Charity GB, by sponsoring the upcoming North West PROPS Awards 2025.

As a key partner for the prestigious event, held in the city of Manchester, MPB will be the official Drinks Reception Sponsor and the proud sponsor of the ‘Funder of the Year’ Award. This partnership underscores our commitment to both celebrating excellence within the property sector and supporting our local community.

The annual PROPS Awards ceremony is a highlight of the property industry calendar, bringing together leaders and professionals to recognise outstanding achievements. Crucially, the event raises vital funds that directly help Variety improve the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children throughout the North West.

Patrick Boyle, Board Director at MPB Structures, commented on the partnership:

“We are incredibly proud to support Variety, the Children’s Charity, and the fantastic work they do. The North West PROPS Awards provides a wonderful opportunity for our industry to come together not only to celebrate success but, more importantly, to make a real difference in our community. We are also pleased to join industry leaders like George Downing of Downing in championing this amazing cause.”

The team at MPB Structures is looking forward to a fantastic evening celebrating the achievements of the North West property sector and supporting a truly worthwhile cause.

MPB Welcomes New Procurement Policy Note Prioritising Skills in Public Contracts
MPB Structures welcomes the recent announcement from the Cabinet Office regarding the new Procurement Policy Note (PPN). Effective from January 2027, the updated framework will double the minimum social value weighting to 20 per cent on government contracts valued at £5 million or more. Most notably, the policy refines social value outcomes to two core criteria: ‘good jobs’ and ‘skills’. This structural change means that apprenticeships, training, and work placements will effectively count for double in the bidding process. As an organisation deeply committed to workforce development, we fully endorse this strategic alignment of public spending with long-term skills generation.
