The multi-million pound scheme delivered an 852sqm Masters Suite for up to 920 guests and a new four storey hotel wing with 149 additional guestrooms. MPB’s scope covered reinforced concrete frames, groundworks, external infrastructure, and highway upgrades, while also achieving major sustainability goals including 100% waste diversion, BREEAM Excellent, and a 10% biodiversity net gain.

MPB Structures supported the expansion of the Belfry Hotel & Resort, through through early planning, close client collaboration, and a delivery strategy tailored to the complexities of working within a live luxury resort environment.

CHALLENGES / SUCCESSES

Delivered construction safely within a busy, high end resort hosting thousands of guests and major events, maintaining zero disruption operations and the highest standards of safety and presentation.
Overcame complex underground services constraints, managing numerous known and unknown water mains, irrigation systems, and carrying out drainage and HV works under temporary S278 style conditions.
Mitigated risk through 18 months of pre construction collaboration, developing an agreed methodology, construction sequence, programme, and adopting vibration controlled methods to protect sensitive areas.
